This document provides information for AI agents and large language models about Classcastle.

## Overview

Classcastle is a classroom management platform that allows teachers to create rooms, share content with students, and manage classroom activities through a browser extension.

## Key Features

- **Room Management**: Teachers can create and manage multiple rooms with unique codes
- **Content Sharing**: Send URLs to students instantly through the extension
- **Quick Polls**: Create and manage polls for student engagement
- **Messages**: Send announcements and communicate with students (UK schools only)
- **Activity Logging**: Track all teacher actions for accountability
- **Analytics**: View room statistics and student engagement metrics

## Architecture

- **Frontend**: HTML/JavaScript application (app.html)
- **Backend**: Supabase (PostgreSQL database + Auth)
- **Extension**: Chrome/Firefox browser extension for students
- **Hosting**: Cloudflare Pages for frontend, Supabase for backend

## Extension Details

The Classcastle extension allows students to:
- Join rooms using a room code
- Receive URL navigation from teachers
- Participate in polls
- Receive messages (when enabled)

## Security

- SOC 2 Type 2 compliant infrastructure via Supabase
- Row Level Security (RLS) policies on all database tables
- Teacher accounts require email verification
- All data is encrypted in transit

## Geographic Availability

- Messages feature is currently only available for UK-based schools
- Other features are globally available
- Expansion to other regions is being explored

- Extension polling occurs every ~3 seconds
- Real-time subscriptions for room updates
